How to read the range
Four constructions,
Four constructions,
three categories.
A family is a construction, not a length. Every reference inside a family is built the same way and differs only in how long it is and what colour the jacket is.
Patch
Terminated cable. RJ45 connectors are already fitted at both ends, so it works out of the bag. Fixed lengths.
Bulk
Cable on a reel with no connectors. You cut it to the length you need and fit RJ45 plugs yourself, with a crimping tool.
Flat
Terminated cable with a flat profile instead of a round one. Same electrical specification as the round version.
Outdoor
Cat 6 with an outdoor-grade black jacket, available both on a reel and with connectors fitted.
Conductors.
Our Cat 5e and Cat 6 ranges use AWG24 copper-clad aluminium (CCA). Our Cat 7 range uses AWG28 solid copper and is shielded. They are different products at different prices, and each product page states which one it is.
